NEW YORK – Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of tourists from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from the year before, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from 2019.

Canada is set to beat Israel's tourism arrivals by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 in August.
Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada within the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We aren't far off our record for 2019, and we anticipate that the growth in travels to Israel will continue to increase because Canadians feel more confident traveling across the globe."
Israel welcomed over 4.6 million tourists in the year of 2019. 969,600 came from the United States. The country's official reopening to all travelers in May saw more than 600,000.
