NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswire• In July and August 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of visitors from the United States. Israel welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from 2019.

Canada, which has 7200 tourists visiting the country in July 2022 and 6,000 tourists in August, is not far from the United States.
Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada in the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are not far from our record 2019 and we expect that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians are more comfortable traveling internationally."
In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since its official reopening for everyone regardless of their the status of their vaccination in May of this year, the country has already seen over 600,400 US tourists.
