NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — In July and August of 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism reported record numbers of tourist arrivals from America. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans in July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase from 2019 seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. "It is exciting to see a new rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking number of the year 2019," he stated. "The United States is our top market for inbound tourism for Israel. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we had record-breaking number of tourists from Israel entering Israel each month. We are extremely happy to witness such a positive shift and expect it to continue for many months and years."
Just like in the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourism numbers in Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in July 2022 , and 6,600 in August.
