Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was the first child of the Oyakhilome family, and was born the 7th of December, 1973, to Tim Oyakhilome. He was a pupil at the secondary and primary school, then he attended Ambrose Alli University (AAU) in Ekpoma, Edo State of Nigeria and graduated with an BSc. In Architecture.
AAU also gave the honourary Doctor of Science Award. He also has an honorary doctorate in divinity from the Benson Idahosa University. While still at AAU Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his journey into the field of ministry. The Believers' LoveWorld Fellowship currently Believers LoveWorld Incorporated, was at that time known as Youths For Christ.
YFC was growing and eventually was the largest of the fellowships on campus. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. The church's headquarters are in Lagos. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Believer's LoveWorld is home to millions of associates and followers around the globe.
Through its 2002 atmosphere for miracles program, BLW was the most well-known Christian ministry on TV in Africa. The show was cancelled in the month of May, 2004 by the president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo who announced that churches would cease broadcasting miracles on TV.
