An activist group for legal rights based in Israel is calling on Australian survivors to sign up for the class action lawsuit against insurers whose Holocaust-era antecedents have failed to pay out policies of displaced or murdered European Jews.

It will sue insurance companies that used the chaos of World War II or the Shoah to avoid paying victims, survivors, and their descendants.
"My goal is to get compensation for the victims to the end their lives. This money is owed to survivors. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2892908 's their money. You can insure your possessions like your house and life, but nobody can take it away from you.
Darshan-Leitner stated that US Senate estimates suggest that up to $US200 billion in payments were obliterated from Jewish policyholders due to delinquent WWII insurance companies, with a lot of traceable successor entities in today's market that have taken on these obligations.
Shurat HaDin leverages its expertise in the search for financial institutions, including banks that hold assets terrorist organizations.
" Israel Law Center 've initiated legal proceedings against nations that have been a part of the banking system, against banks, and against firms that aid in and abetting the spread of terrorism. She said that she's had the experience and isn't scared to take on countries, large companies, or international banks.
Additionally, Shurat HaDin is launching legal action in Israel to unlock the database of more than 140,000 Holocaust survivors and their descendants who have listed more than two million assets – under Israel's Project Heart from 2011-14. In coordination with the Jewish Agency for Israel the Israeli government invited applicants to participate in the restitution scheme. But, the program was abruptly stopped, leaving the registered participants in limbo.
Shurat HaDin approached the government but got no response from the government. But Israel's Labour and Social Services Ministry stated that Project Heart was never intended to be a scheme for individual claims, so claimants' details cannot be released. One theory is that Israel did not realize European governments' intransigence when confronted with claims lists that ranged from hundreds of thousands.
https://m.youtube.com/c/ShuratHaDinIsraelLawCenter explained how Project Heart participants could apply to class actions under Project Last Chance if they were permitted to disclose their identities to ShurathaDin.
Project Last Chance was a new method of conducting the Claims Conference. Israel Law Center stated that it has petitioned authorities for Holocaust restitution rather than directly targeting businesses and firms.
